What is going on?

Sorry for the lack of posts. To be honest, I'm currently unemployed and on the gloomy side trying to make ends meet until I'm working again. In the mean time, I have been working on crafty projects and listening to a lot of music.

Since I have no real funds coming in, there aren't any releases happening so far this year. I was really striving to at least do a record a year, but it's impossible right now.

We do still have copies of G. Green - Swimsuit Drugs 7" in stock. They are getting low, so buy one now. I also sell cool hand screen-printed turntable totebags and buttons in my Etsy Shop.
We also make custom 1" buttons if you are in need!!

Anyways, it's summer, it's hot, so enjoy some good beer and I'll let you know future happenings of Out of Order...

No plans yet for the next record...a little too broke for that at the moment, but I sense greater things for 2010.

HEAD live in Sacramento tonight!!

HEAD from Seattle, WA will be playing tonight at the Java Lounge. If you love pop punk with stupid lyrics, you will love these guys. Sounding very simular to the Ramones, (some even say they out-Ramone the Ramones) this will be a great show coming to Sac! The door is a little steep...$10? Oh well, it should be worth it. Chixdiggit & Kepi Ghoulie play at 7pm and Head goes on at 9pm.

You know this band is good when two of my best friends have named their cats after members in this band.

Green Green or GGreen, is a fine lad from Northern California who makes psych-pop, bedroom recordings which are fresh, revealing and fun. They sound extra great on vinyl.

I'm starting a new segment on the blog to remember older records that I love. Here's the first one!

THE DRAGS - STOP ROCK AND ROLL

I love this record! My first taste was "Who's got the electricity?" I used to play it on my radio show a lot. When the Dissimilars visited back in 2005 or so, they put this record on and sang along to the songs. It's such a catchy record, super lo-fi with great tunes and a lot of energy. My only complaint is that it's so damn short. Crazy to think it came out 12 years ago on Estrus. 1997 was a long time ago, although it doesn't seem like it! This record can still be spotted in used bins. It is way over-looked. Grab a copy, you won't regret it.

I've gotta re-start posting regularly to the Out of Order blog! For a jump-start back, I've gotta post about one of my new favorite artists! Don't you just love that cover? Holy shit!

Word is, another of my favs, NOBUNNY writes some of the songs, and you can't go wrong there. Super fun, boy love, snotty pop songs?! It's great stuff, listen to all the songs, especially "You Don't Like Rock n Roll", "Hey Rocky" and "Gimmie Back Your Love". Hey, there's videos too!!

Aw man, I forgot to remind you all about the awesome show last night with Nobunny, Rantouls, English Singles and Losin' Streaks. Hopefully you all made it anyways!
